How we can help our customers who are financially affected by COVID-19

The rapidly evolving spread of COVID-19 continues to present unique challenges that require all of us to adapt quickly based on new developments. For some of our individual and commercial customers, we understand these challenges may result in some short-term financial difficulties.

As a leading general insurer in Singapore, we are committed to helping our customers through this difficult period. Many of our insurance transactions can be performed digitally and we have developed new online premium payment services to assist our customers in these uncertain times.

For customers who are facing financial difficulties, we have the following instalment payment options available to help you pay your insurance premiums without affecting your policy coverage.

For Individual Customers

For individual insurance policyholders, we have different payment options available.

You can choose to pay your insurance premium in a lump sum or, if your insurance premium is $300 and above, you can also pay for your premium via a 6 or 12 month interest-free installment payment plan (IPP) with DBS/ POSB or UOB credit cards.

For Commercial Clients

For policyholders who purchase AIG’s Commercial Insurance policies including SME Package, Commercial Property, Terrorism, Energy, Construction, Liability, Financial Lines, Marine, Trade Credit, Political Risks, Surety and Aviation, you now have the ability to pay for your premiums online in a variety of premium payment modes via aig.sg/pay-business as follows:

• PayNow
• Lump sum payment with Visa or Mastercard credit cards**
• 6 or 12 month interest-free installment payment plan with DBS/POSB credit cards, for a minimum premium of $300 and maximum premium of $60,000.
